Oldway Craft festival

A fast, enjoyable thriller starring James Woods as Eddie Dodd, former radical lawyer and anti-war protestor, reduced to protecting the rights of drug dealers . . . who rediscovers his fighting spirit when he reopens the case of a Korean-American convicted 8 years earlier of murder. The movie’s glory is James Woods’ self-satirizing performance. Directed by Joseph Ruben. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Shooting match at CVFD
The Castleton Volunteer Fire Department will begin its annual shooting match on Saturday, October 21 at 1 p.m. at the Castleton fire house. Those wishing to participate are reminded they need to use 12 gauge shotguns only, no sleeves. For more information call 937-6051.
Recycling meeting Nov. 14
Recycling coordinator Nina Stamer announced that there will be an open meeting at the courthouse on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. to discuss recycling. Mrs. Stamer said questions about recycling are welcome, as well as suggestions about how to better implement the county’s recycling program. Call Mrs. Stamer (675-3810) for more information.
Pre-school story hour
