The Oct. 1 Virginia peanut yield forecast of 3,000 pounds per acre is unchanged from the Sept. 1 forecast. Total peanut production in Virginia is forecast at 273 million pounds.

Virginia’s commercial apple crop is forecast at 360 million pounds, down 20 million pounds from the Sept. 1 forecast and down 65 million pounds from last year.
