Don Beyer is public spirited. He serves as a member of the Commonwealth Transportation Board; he requires all of his firm’s 100 employees, including himself, to volunteer at least three hours a week of community service.

The contrast between Don Beyer and his opponent is great. Although she bears a name well known in Virginia, Eddy Dalton’s effectiveness stops there.

As a freshman State Senator, she has indeed introduced bills, but none of them was passed. One must be able to work with others in politics if one is to be effective. In a survey of the effectiveness of delegates and state senators in the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot and Ledger Star newspaper, she was ranked last.

In its endorsement of Lt. Governor Wilder for Governor, the Oct. 15 Washington Post said, “The state has been governed well in the RobbBaliles years. The record has been a good combination ol progress and calm...Mr. Wilder promises to perpetuate that solid record and Mr. Coleman has failed to make the case for change.” ;

Don Beyer is an important and effective member of Doug Wilder^ team. To continue the good government of the last eight years, yoq should vote for the entire team; Wilder, Beyer and Terry.
