Mr. White, who started with Slaughter as part of his 1984 campaign staff and served as his legislative director for two years, became his administrative assistant in December, 1986. He has accepted a job as Director of Government Relations at Cornerstone Communications, Ltd., a political and business consulting firm in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Mr. White, a 1984 graduate of Duke University, will be joining his wife who is a doctoral candidate at the University of North Carolina.
