Sponsoring a fall carnival for the first time, the department begins its celebration early on Thursday night when the rides light up and fill the night with the joyous sounds of laughter.
Two bands will perform Thursday evening on the carnival grounds beside the fire hall on U.S. 211 just west of town. Friday night the entertainment begins again as rides, games and camvial fun and food fill the night air with sounds and smells.
Saturday and Sunday afternoons West Virginia Amusements, which is providing the carnival rides, plans a matinee with the children in mind. One ticket will buy all the rides the kids can take for one low price, providing afternoon fun for hours.
