Federal grant

The Rappahannock Library Board learned this week that its building project is one of four in the state that will receive Federal funds.
The State Library Board accepted the recommendation of its advisory council to grant Rappahannock $140,998 for the new library building.
Altogether $420,564 will be distributed for public library building projects in Virginia this year. Thp funds were appropriated under the Library Services and Construction Act Title II grants.
The Rappahannock Library applied for $150,000, and like the other three which will receive funds this year, Rappahannock received 93 percent of its request.
