It’s not by choice that we leave, but by necessity. We will always cherish our fine friends and neighbors in Rappahannock County, and someday will pass this way again.

In your day to day travels it would be to your advantage to stop and smell the roses along the way by looking at your beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Throw a rock or pebble into your clear cold streams. Watch a sunset from atop Skyline Drive. Share the excitement of your children at Christmas, support your local sports teams.

In other words, keep doing what you’ve done so well.

Believe me, Rappahannock County and its’ residents are a tribute to a great nation and to the flag for which it stands.
