It’s Monday morning and the kids at Rappahannock Elementary raise the flag and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
And so starts another exciting day of learning — not just math and reading and writing — but also character, behavior, self-confidence, attitude and on and on, America lives!
It’s fall in Rappahannock County and the mountains come alive with gold, blood red and orange. People scurry about with smiles on their faces as they set up stands and booths of fruits and crafts, art and antiques. The crisp air signals that “Old Man Winter” has awakened once again. And America lives!
It’s Christmas Eve and the excitement on the childrens’ faces tell even a stranger to our great country that something good is about to happen. Freshly fallen snow blankets the hillsides and valleys and every chimney has a curl of smoke to tell a passer-by of the warm and family atmosphere inside. And America does live!
It’s Wednesday night and the Rappahannock Panthers are playing basketball at the high school gym. What a turnout! Everyone, young and old alike, are filling the stands on both sides. People mingle and dis
