According to National Safety Council estimates for 1989, agricultural work-related accidents resulted in 1,300 deaths and 120,000 disabling injuries. Many illnesses and chronic health problems among those who farm and the result of excessive, unprotected exposure to dust, allergies, chemicals, toxic gases, heat, cold, noise, intense sun, insects and long days running hardriding equipment.
