Right now, however, his players are struggling and “physically tiring” diming the second half of their matches. Physical conditioning is “definitely a factor” in their play during the later stages of a game, he said. “The boys are running a lot, working hard on that. It takes a commitment on their part to get in shape to play 80 minutes of soccer.
He said he plans to realign the team’s offensive formation, while also giving Andrew Kerr some time in the goal. Starting goalie Chris Stringfellow will shift to fullback, allowing Kerr to get some game experience.
“We have progressed,” Coach Tupper said, and he said he expects the team’s development to continue as the players gain confidence and experience in playing together.
