Judge W. Shore Robertson sentenced William Oakley Craft, 52, of Castleton, to 10 years in prison on each of two felony sex charges. The sentence was the one recommended by the Circuit Court jury which convicted him on both counts. The sentences are to be served consecutively.
In other cases before the Circuit Court:
• Robert Boyd Tharpe, 19, of Manassas, was given a 12 month jail term, with all but 45 days suspended, after pleading guilty to petit larceny in the theft of a gun from his grandfather. Tharpe was originally charged with grand larceny and embezzlement, but the charge was later reduced. Tharpe will serve 45 days of the sentence on weekends.
