Dr. Gangel had intended to schedule that roof for replacement this year, but when he was preparing the budget, he left it out because, with lower revenues from the state, the budget was already asking for much more funds from the county.
The underground storage tank was scheduled to be replaced or be moved above ground in this year’s budget, but when the budget was cut by the supervisors, Dr. Gangel decided to delay moving the tank and instead have it tested for leaks and insured.
The tests will cost $1,550, he reported, and the insurance wfill cost between $4,000 and $7,000. This was more than he had anticipated, he said, but other insurance had cost less.
