The Winchester Business and Professional women invite the public to compare face-to-face the 7th district candidates for congress at its September 20 meeting.
Republican Congressman D. French Slaughter Jr. and Democratic challenger David Smith have agreed to a joint appearance to answer pre-submitted questions. With less than two months before the election this is an excellent opportunity for people to see the candidates together and compare them on the issues, a club spokesman said.
The meeting will be held at the Winchester Travel Lodge (U.S. 522 at its intersection with Route 50 and 1-81), dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., $8.50 per person, followed by the candidates’ presentation. For more information contact Natalie - Gather at (703) 662 5668 or (703) 662 7070.
