Beginning Sept. 15, “Clothesline,” produced and directed by Roberta Can tow, is a 16mm film with radio montage sound tracks. Using the theme and metaphor of clotheslines women describe life experiences with laundry.
Sept. 22 and 29 only, “Drawing the Line,” a video piece by Virginia Quesada and Linda Lewett. “Drawing the Line” is a media exploration of censorship, artistic freedom, and violence in popular culture.
The Performance Art entries will be presented at the Town Hall on Gay Street on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m., including “Marred Bliss,” a short play directed by Cathy Kiley, “Mother’s Solo From Box 48,” choreographed by Sally Nash, “Doing Justice,” a play for two actresses by Chris Westburg, poetry by Cathy Kiley and “A Circle of Creative Sharing” with pass the Rattle/Open Mike (for all who would like to express themselves). This event is free to the public (donations will be accepted).
