Rappahannock School Superintendent Dr. David M. Gangel has been selected as one of the Virginia fellows in the Education Policy Fellowship Program.
As one of 19 selected from among 51 applicants, Dr. Gangel will be participating in workshops and seminars on problems confronting education and leadership styles that are likely to be most successful in meeting these challenges. He will be working with other leaders from the fields of education, government and business.
All the fellows have full-time positions and receive support from their employers to enable them to participate in the program.
These meetings will be held in Richmond, one of 15 sites selected around the nation. The Education Policy Fellowship Program is sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership, a non-profit organization incorporated in Washington, D. C. There will also be two national meetings between now and the conclusion of the program next summer.
Dr. Gangel told the School Board he is pleased to have been selected to participate in the program.
