Real estate
agents must
take training
A new state law now requires that all agents and brokers with a Virginia real estate license complete six hours of a state prescribed continuing education course.
The training must be completed prior to the expiration of their current license. Real estate officials report that many agents are not aware of this requirement and that they should take action to complete the required six hours as soon as possible. The six hour mandatory continuing education course covers recent developments in real estate law and related subjects.
The next two courses will be given on Tuesday, Sept. 25 and on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also, evening sessions will be held on Oct. 2 and 4 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuition is $60 for all six hours of training.
Real estate agents and brokers should register for the training by calling the National Institute at (703) 893-0655 or 1-800-277-NIRE.
