After dropping their first three games against tough competition, Rappahannock soccer coach Mike Tupper remains optimistic that the team will gel as the seaso progresses.
As a new coach working with a largely young team, Mr. Tupper said he is still searching for the winning combination of players in his starting lineup.
Though the Panthers have lost all three games by lopsided margins, “the scores really don’t reflect the team’s ability,” Coach Tupper said. The team has played well during the first half of all three games, he expalained, but let down its effort during the second half.
