Women’s finances talk
* The first in a series qjTWomen's financial issues will be field at 6:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16 when Rappahannock Commissioner of the Revenue Bev Atkins speaks on "Getting Your Finances Organized: Where Are You Now? Where Do You Want To Be?"

Food giveaway planned
The Rappahannock County Department of Social Services will distribute commodities from the U.S. Department of Agriculture from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from the basement of Social Services on Gay Street.
All eligible recipients are urged to stop by the office during those hours to pick up their commodities.
