Fall registration planned

Registration for the fall term at Spring Mountain School will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 14 at William Carrigan’s school house in Washington. For more information call Bethany Craig at 9878606.

Dance at fire hall

A dance to benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the fire hall. The band, Tarragon will be featured. You must be 21. Advance tickets are $7 per person or $13 couple or at the door for $8 and $15, respectively.

Circus at Amissville

Roberts Brothers 3-Ring Circus will be at Amissville Fire Department grounds at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The event is sponsored by the Amissville Ruritan Club. Fore more information contact Lorraine Early at 937-5526. Advance tickets on sale at Hackley’s Store and Jenkins Garage in Amissville and Hillsdale Grocery near Washington.

There will be a ticket booth with clowns and free candy from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at Hackley’s Store in Amissville.

Flea market, car wash

A flea market and car wash will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 in front of Rappahannock High. This event is sponsored jointly by RCHS Yearbook Club and RCES PTO. Baked goods will also be available. Car washes cost $3 per car or donation.

Flowerfest to be held

The 2nd annual “Flowerfest” will be held Saturday, Sept. 14 at la dama maya herb and flower farm in Luray. The festival hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is free to the public. A wide variety of herb plants, dried flowers, dried herb and flower products and books will be available for purchase. Simple refreshments will also be provided. La dama maya is located 1 1/2 miles south of Luray on Route 340 and for further information call 703-743-4665.
