The bookdrop container, a square box with raised-side panels and brass-ball-roller feet, was made and donated by Col. Ellis Bingham of Amissville, supervisor for’ the Jackson District.
Cartons upon cartons of books have been donated.
“We are getting best sellers from people who belong to various best seller clubs,” Rappahannock County Librarian Nicki Lynch said.
Remembering not only those who donated books for the now spacious library, Mrs. Lynch recognized Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bonsignore for their gift of a refrigerator and Bill Young of Washington for cabinetry.
“And all the people who have donated time,” she said, extending her arms wide to include the multitude who helped.
