Shooting match
The Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department will begin its annual shooting match beginning Oct. 5 and continuing each Saturday until Nov. 16 and will run from 1-4 p.m. Only 12 gauge shotguns with no sleeves and no scopes can be used. Crab feast
The Child Care and Learning Center will sponsor an “all-you-caneat” crab feast from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Amissville fire hall. The menu will consist of all-you-can-eat crabs, coleslaw, baked beans, hot dogs and beverages. Tickets are $15 and $7.50 for children 12 and under. For further information call CCLC at 675-3237.
