There is still some construction to complete in the stone house, which will be used to house the school’s administration, library, art room and perhaps a few classes. Dr. Saunders also said a few mobile classrooms may be added to the site.

He said the school is also working on a plan to use the Marshall Manor cafeteria facilities. “The people here have been so cooperative, just real nice,” he said.

“We’re hoping to involve the senior citzens in our Christmas plays, perhaps have some of our orchestra students play for them. Handled correctly it can be beneficial fof both the students and the senior citizens.” said Dr. Saunders.

He also mentioned the sign in front of the IGA grocerty store on Main Street that read, “Welcome Wakefield!”
