Twenty-nine Rappahannock farmers descended on Bruce Vierling’s Warehouse in Flint Hill last Saturday bearing donations of hay for their drought ravaged brethren in Clarke County.

The program was run by the Rappahannock Fanners’ Association in conjunction with the Clarke County Extension Office.

Although a goal of 500 bales had been set, the final tally was 1,665 bales.
