Since moving into this area of the state, Mr. Darby has been devoting 30 to 40 hours a week to public service projects with emphasis on Habitat for Humanity, an activity that provides home for the needy and doing it without any government interference or involvement. Mr. Darby is the Fauquier County leader. A former U.S. president is also active in this private endeavor.
Mr. Darby is the sponsor of the Rappahannock County Public School’s math, science and engineering scholarship program. His ife vice-chairman of the Friends of the Rappahannock County Library. He served on the Advisory Committee to the Windmore Foundation.
Mr. Darby is a member of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection and a member of the Rappahannock Farmers’ Association. He is an elder in the Warrenton Presbyterian Church.
In every phase of Bob Darby’s life he has demonstrated his support for old-|ashioned values of committment to morality, to strong family ties, to individual freedom and responsibility, to patriotism and to hard work.
