“We’ve covered all of the basics. Wakefield requires an ancient and modem language, so we’re still offering French, Latin and Spanish. Everything as far as the curriculum is the same,” said Saunders.
The county quickly pushed things forward so that Wakefield could open its doors this month and Dr. Saunders said it’s a credit to the county, “that they would and could move things along so fast.”
“We had to meet the same standards and had to get the same permits. The Board of Trustees have dedicated thousands of hours to this and without them it wouldn’t have taken place,” he said.
Students graduating from Wakefield will receive the same diploma as previous graduates did. They start their day at 9 a.m. and finish about 3:45 p.m. The cost is $4,825 a year.
