Mr. Hobson is survived by his wife, Isobel Farrier Hobson; two sons, the Rev. Jennings Wise Hobson III of Washington and Dr. James Farrier Hobson of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Eleanor Fukushima of Mechanicsville, Va.; six grandchildren; and five sisters, Mary Barksdale of Orlando, Fla., Anne W. Hobson of Richmond, Alice Moore of Placida, Fla., Frances Luther of Vero Beach, Fla. and Sarah Stowers of Knoxville, Tenn.
Funeral services and burial were Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Immanuel Episcopal Church in Old Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Hospital Hospice Program of Richmond, the Bishop of Virginia’s Discretionary Fund or the Virginia Nature Conservancy.

Paul Galen Wolfe, 65, of Amissville, died Tuesday, Sept. 3 in the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
The funeral was conducted Thursday, Sept. 5 at the Stover Funeral Home in Strasburg by the Rev. David C. Derby.
A graveside service was conducted Thursday, Sept. 5 in Toms Brook Cemetery by the Strasburg American Legion Post 77.
