The Water and Sewer Authority agreed to go ahead and purchase a vehicle for Troy Jenkins to use in his work. i
At last Thursday’s meeting member Richard Smith read a letter from plant operator Donna Chabot saying that much had been accomplished since Mr. Jenkins started working full-time. She said that Mr. Jenkins was using his own vehicle to go around to the tanks on the system to work on them. Having to put pumps1 that must be worked on in his van makes it smell bad, she noted.
When Ms. Chabot visited the WSA and raised this issue previously, she said she had a van she would be willing to sell for $200. At that time the authority decided to see if Mr. Jenkins could use the' pumping truck instead of purchasing another vehicle.
Mr. Smith reported that Ms. Chabot’s van was still available. He said the pumping truck is not satisfactory because there isn’t any room in it to carry a pump or large tools such as shovels. Also it is inefficient to operate and difficult to get in and out of driveways, Mr. Smith re
