The Ralphs asked if Dr. Krebser could put in a second entrance to the development because the use of the post office creates traffic problems with only one entrance. Dr. Krebser said that would mean giving up several parking places, and Mr. McCarthy said he did not believe VDOT would approve a second entrance. Dr. Krebser said he would move a sign that blocks the view at the entrance.

Dr. Krebser said he understood Blueridge Technologies would be using the additional space to relieve current overcrowding but they would also be hiring up to five additional employees once the space is available.

Stonewall-Hawthom District representative Robert Anderson said he wished the county had more businesses like Blueridge.

Hampton District representative Mike Massie, who had been critical of the form of the application in the Planning Commission in September, was satisfied with the changes and noted that to turn down such an application the supervisors would have to determine that it would be detrimental to the county.

He made the motion to approve the rezoning subject to VDOT and VDOH approval. Mr. Gilkey said he was abstaining because he had done construction work for Dr. Krebser in the past and might in the future.
