On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. the award-winning National Gallery of Art Vocal Quartet appears for the first time at the Theatre at Washington. The concert includes music of Mozart, Purcell, Dvorak, and Brahms. English folk songs conclude the program.
The Quartet, features Rosa Lamoreaux, soprano, Beverly Benso, alto, Samuel Gordon, tenor, and Robert Kennedy, baritone, and is under the artistic direction of George Manos, director of music at the national Gallery.
Since its 1985 debut the Quartet has excited audiences with the almost limitless repertoire of music for one to four voices ranging from the renaissance to the twentieth century.
