townscape, Sperryville. It has been a work in progress for three years and has become a composite of Sperryville Festivals which is when she dragged it down and popped it up against a tree or the hood of her van and worked on it in the midst of festival onlookers. Last year she completed a painting for the Airlie Foundation which consists of the entire 3,000 acre conference center complete with geese flying in from Canada, prints of which will be at the gallery or can be found at Airlie House. These large townscapes are only one facet of this artist’s work which runs from delicate wild flowers to bold expressionist images on exotic surfaces.
