Mr.’ Luke said that Ms. DeWare hadbeen arrested in New York along, with Frangalina Lopez and returned, to Rappahannock County. “Ms. DeWare agreed to testify against Frangalina Lopez,” he said. He said that among other things she was prepared to testify that she was not; Lopez’s daughter.
Because she had been in jail since last February and had served more than the maximum sentence for petit larceny, Mr. Luke asked that she be released from jail the next day. A relative of Ms. DeWare had arranged for a plane ticket for her to be flown to California to be reunited with her family. From there she is expected to travel to New York for counseling and to try to regain custody of her two children, who have been in foster care there.
