Others activies planned for the coming months at the Arboretum include a seminar “The Art of Pleaching” from 2-4 p.m. on Oct. 22, a lecture by author Emyl Jenkins on “Southern Christmas” at 10 a.m. on Nov. 14 with a luncheon to follow at noon at the Ashby Inn, and over 20 Holiday Workshops from Nov. 30 through Dec. 11. The State Arboretum of Virginia at Blandy Experimental Farm is located on Rotue 50 East, about nine miles east of Winchester and 60 miles of Washington, D.C. The Arboretum is open 365 days per year from dawn to dusk.
