In compliance with Governor Allen’s executive order requiring state agencies to review regulations they administer, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is initiating this review and invites comment from the public on regulations governing a variety of agriculture and consumer issues, i
Over the next two years, the Department will look at all regulations under its purview that require review.
The Department particularly invites comment on how reugidations can be made less burdensome or less instrusive and whether they are clearly written and easily understandable. When commenting on specific regulations, individuals need to identify each by citing the “VR” number or “C” number that precedes the regulation name, along with its full title. Comment should be addressed to: “Regulation Re-; view,” c/o J. Carlton Courier, III, Commissioner, Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, P.O. Box 1163, Richmond, Va. 23209.
A list of regulations under review was published in the Oct. 3 edition of Virginia Register of Regulations,; which is available at many public libraries. Or interested individuals may request a listing by writing “Regulation Review” at the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
The deadline for receipt of comment is 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
