We would like to welcome Jan Makela, our volunteer coordinator at RCES. She is at school all day on Wednesday or messages can be left for her at the main office.
She is looking for people to make copies, read to children, have children read to them, help teachers in the classroom. Please contact her if you have one hour a week or a month or any time you could volunteer.
Preparations are being made for the Halloween fun fest on Friday, Oct. 27. Volunteers are needed and donations of candy, decorati^ns^f goblins, ghosts, and so forth. Donations can be left at Hackley’s Store or in Jan Makela’s room at RCES. Please mark them with RCESPTO. If you would like to help please call Cecelia Dennis at 547-3476.

Seniors Win
AP Honors
Two members of the 1995 graduating class at Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly were named AP scholars by the college board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the college-level advanced placement (AP) examinations.
AP examinations, which students take in May after completing collegelevel courses, are graded on a 5pound scale (5 is the highest grade).
Welby Lynn of Washington qualified for the AP scholar award by completing three or more AP examinations with grades of 3 or higher. Her total AP grade average was 4.00. Miss Lynn is the daughter of Mrs. Pamela Lynn-Tucker and the late Mr. William E. Lynn Jr. and is currently a freshman at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania.
Thomas Griffin of Broad Run qualified for the AP scholar with honor award by earning grades of 3 or above on four or more AP examinations. Mr. Griffin’s average exam grade was 4.37. He is currently a freshman at Virginia Tech.
