Club meets at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Jeffersonton Community Center. Guest speaker will be from thb Culpeper Museum.
Following the Amissville Ruritan Club’s Family Fun Day, attend the Jeffersonton Community Center’s Country Flam Dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 21 at the Community Center. Proceeds will be split between the jeffersonton Community Center and the Little Fork Fire Company. Cost is $6.95 for adults; $4.95 for children; $2.50 for hot dog dinner.
Also on Oct. 21, the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue will hold a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., featuring the band, “River Bottom.”
The next community auction will be held at the.Amissville Ruritan Club’s Building at Stuart field at 10 a.m. on Nov. 10. For pickup of donated items, call Bill at 937-4604 or Charlie at 937-4072.
At last month’s Amissville Ruritan Club meeting for Senior Citizens, Gloria Mills led in singing “America” and “Happy Anniversary” to Mary and Charlie Mills, celebrating their 42nd.
Recipients of door prizes included: Ann Me Whirl, flower centerpiece; Emma Swatman, two cases of Mountain Dew and Sheriff John Henry Woodward, two cases of Pepsi.
Julie Bankston had sent a letter to the Ruritans thanking them for sending her to Girl’s State.
