One of the four houses being shown is the Thornton River Farm of Mrs. I.L. Parrish. The fact that this a successful farm operation is incidental to the house tour.
The main house was originally two buildings with no connecting link. One had to go outside to get from one house to the other. The original house was built as a tenant house by the Lillard family with an outside kitchen where the garden is now. The
