Rain canceled many of the soccer games scheduled for Saturday, but one game was played despite the rain, thanks to some quick collaboration by husband-and-wife coaches K.C. and Lorinda Bosch.
Mr. Bosch coaches a U-14 team. Mrs. Bosch coaches a U-12 team. Both Bosch teams were scheduled to play at St. Luke’s, but when they arrived, they learned they could not use the rain-damped fields because the school was concerned about damaging the grass. . ■ Some of the Rappahannock parents had driven an hour for the game, and the children were sorely disappointed. The referee drove to Culpeper’s soccer stadium, found that it was free, and returned to St. Luke’s, inviting everyone to shift to the other stadium.
