Gary Lee Bright, 32, of Sperryville, was arrested for assaulting Bobby Yonts with an ax last Wednesday. Mr. Yonts is 51 and also lives in Sperryville.
According to Deputy. Connie Compton’s report on the incident, Mr. Bright hit Mr. Yonts in the side and in the stomach. He was bleeding from the stomach, but did not have to go to the hospital. The incident occurred at the residence of Mildred Blakely on U.S. 211 in Sperryville in the early evening last Wednesday.
