Bloody Mary Bridge Club (RBMBC). As a cook with gourmet credentials, she prepared Swedish recipes that greatly contented her guests.
Until recently Mrs. Tholand maintained her strenuous schedule of travel at home and abroad. A vigorous walker, she became a familiar Figure on the streets of her beloved "Little Washington.”
Mrs Tholand’s husband died in 1971. She is survived by two sons and her daughter, Carolyn, four grandchildren, and her sister Charlotte Noreus of Stockholm.
Her family suggests that in lieu of flowers or other gifts of sympathy, contributions be made to the Hospice of the Rapidan. At her specific request, no formal funeral or memorial service will be held.
