office provides like building checks, opening car doors, school traffic control, speed enforcement in the towns, enforcement of the county tag ordinance, DARE programs, weapons in. school program and so forth, also the operation of the jail and the many programs it offers to the inmates. The Sheriffs Office has come a long way in the last 20 years, bringing back dedication, experience and professionalism. I am very proud of my organization and its accomplishments.
3. I am not saying that we don’t make mistakes at times, but overall I do not think that the current Sheriffs Office has any major weaknesses.
4. The biggest challenge of the next four years will be funding and manpower to meet the needs of the citizens. Every day I read more and more about law enforcement and jail operations having to cut back on services that they had always provided to the public. With these cutbacks it is imperative that an administrator use the resources to the best advantage of the county. With the knowledge that I have of the operations of the Sheriffs Office and the jail, I can continue to provide the services that the county and citizens deserve.
