The gymnasium will be painted in warm earth tones of terra cotta, ivory and deep blue-green with the doors painted taupe. The. maple floors of the gymnasium are in good shape except for one section«where a steam pipe leaked and rotted the wood. That will have to be replaced.
After sanding and refinishing, the floors should look like new, said Martin Woodard, Faith Mountain’s executive vice-president. We think we have found enough old style wire glass to replace the clear glass that is in the gym windows, he added.
The heating system needs to be “reconfigured” and the electrical system needs extensive rewiring, he added. The old school gym lights will be dropped down and the fluorescent lighting from The Emporium will be raised to the ceiling.
