One of the innovative techniques he uses is a polaroid negative transfer where he adheres only partially developed negatives to water color paper. The chemicals on the negatives and the texture of the paper give the local buildings and architectural details he shoots the look of old photographs.

Three defining features of his work are the scale, usually about 12 by 18 inches or smaller; the range of colors stressing oranges, purples and greens; and each is rendered with an architectural perspective and precision.
