pacing food baskets, providing transportation, and assisting the children with their shopping adventure.
The program’s success goes even deeper than the volunteerism. The contributions from businesses, organizations, and private citizens were unbelievable. These contributions let our sheriff’s office reach its goals. I am extremely grateful to all of those who donated to a worthy cause.
To list all of the volunteers, and contributions that were given, would require an entire page of the paper. Therefore, I personally want to thank all who participated in our second annual “Shop With a Deputy” program. Seeing the gleam in the children’s eyes was certainly worth all of the effort. Next year’s event should prove to be just as successful as the last two events.
Lastly, I extend a special thanks to my staff who performed in an exemplary manner to make this event a special day for Rappahannock’s children. Keep up the good work!
