The shed roof extending off the back of the building will be removed and the area will be changed into a loading dock area. A door will replace a window in a former classroom allowing it to be used as a receiving area where new merchandise will be labeled and priced.

The other three classrooms on the main floor will be used for dining room items, food, children’s books, toys, musical instruments and a check-out counter. Closets will be removed and spaces opened to adjoining rooms to aid circulation from room to room. The school blackboards still in good condition will remain to be used to advertise sales. The school atmosphere will be accentuated rather than eliminated.

The upstairs will be roped off when the store first opens to the public and remodeling will begin after the main floor is completed. One room will be used as an employee break room and the three others possibly for retail items.
