While things will be a little tough for his office for a short while the opportunity is a great one for MacWelch, Settle said. “He’s such a team player and a good friend. We’ll miss him," Settle said. “But, it’s a career move for him and I wish him the best. He has my support and he’ll do a fine job up there."
Settle said he will look at filling the position as a positive opportunity to find someone who’ll help take the sheriffs office in the direction he wants to go and help maximize their goals and opportunities.
