The figure drawing instruction will stress methods for determining proportion, angles of pose, and value. Weekly demonstrations will be presented. A variety of media, papers and approaches includr ing: compressed charcoal, conte crayon, graphite and white chalk on gray paper, will be shown. Instruction in sanguine drawing will also be offered in the winter session. Working from the model, students will begin with short warm-up sketches, then proceed to longer, more detailed drawings. This class is designed for all drawing levels.
