2) You no longer seem to think it is important to report what citizens say at public meetings on controversial issues. Last week’s story on the supervisors’ meetings, which focused on such topics as the proposed tuition tax credit and citizen opposition to road projects, did not quote a single Rappahannock resident who spoke up at the meetings. Why not let people have their say in the paper? If you deny them this, you deny them their voice in public debate. A newspaper has an obligation to give voice to the views of its citizen readers.
