4) Less important, but no less aggravating, are the misspellings, typos, errors in grammar and usage that mar your stories. Last week’s supervisors’ story referred twice to “capitol expenses” (unless you are repairing that big domed building in Washington, D.C., it is capital expenses) and twice to improving “site distance” at intersections (presumably you meant sight distance.) A recent story bid a “fond fairwell” to the Library Board president. Have you also bid farewell to your dictionary? The top story on a recent front page referred to a “sepcial use permit.” Your proofreading needs special attention.
