This 2- to 3-year-old Keeshound female, left, and this 3month-old female Keeshound-cross puppy were found on Route 640 in Amissville. The animal shelter has many other pets for adoption: Nick, a 3- to 4-year-old male doberman-cross; Prince, a 2-year-old male lab-cross; Kayla, a 2- to 3-year-old female rottweiler-hound cross; Larry, a 1- to 2-year-old male dachshund-terrier, about 20 pounds (no children); and a few cats too. All have their shots and are heart worm tested regularly. The shelter is located near the county landfill in Amissville.
