Honor meeting set for King
The Culpeper Branch of the NAACP will hold a pro- ^ gram in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King on Monday, Jan. * 19 at 12 noon in the Antioch Baptist Church, 202 South West Street, Culpeper. The program will last an hour. “Everyone is invited to come pay tribute to Dr. King,” said a spokesperson. For more information call 825-3241.
Food safety, sanitation course set
Food safety and sanitation is on the mind of many people. Recent outbreaks of food borne illness reported in the media bring to light the importance of practicing safe food handling. Food service managers and employees have the opportunity to become certified with the National Restaurant Association through a course offered by the Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Cooperative Extension. The course will be held at the Orange Extension office, 146 Madison Road, in Orange. Classes will be held on six consecutive Mondays, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. starting Jan. 26, 1998.
